Rent eh Tent General Policies
Reservations can be at any time. All rental requests made in less than (7) seven days will be as a first come first serve basis. Changes to reservations can be made but require two hours notice. Please make reservations through our online rental form or by calling our local office number (780) 490-5464) also listed on our contact page. RET reserves the right to refuse rental services to anyone.
A 50% deposit of the rental amount will be required on all Camping Vacation kit bookings and itemized camping equipment. This amount is non refundable. Trailer booking deposits are also 50%, non refundable. The deposit will be put towards final rental charges. On receipt of reservation and deposit, a confirmation notice will be sent to client. Reservation deposits can be made by VISA, MasterCard or cash.
Camping Vacation kits will require a security deposit equivelant to the value of the equipment unless otherwise specified by a Rent ah Tent Canada manager. Single camping Items will require a minimum $100.00 deposit fee. The entire deposit or part of it will be refunded when an inspection of all camping equipment rented has been carried out by a Rent eh Tent supervisor when rental equipment is returned. Refer to "Damage/Dirty/Lost Policy" for full deposit refund explanations. Deposits can be made with VISA, MasterCard or cash.
All rental charges must be paid for in full, 30 days before scheduled camping equipment pick-up time. The final rental amount is non-refundable at the 30 day mark. Payment in-full will be required at the time of booking on all rentals made with less than 30 days notice. All payments can be made to Rent eh Tent by calling (780) 490-5464. Payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, or cash. All prices are subject to Goods and Service Tax. A delivery charge may apply. Failure to receive final payment will automatically cancel the rental at the 30 day mark.
Full refunds are given for cancellations that are made 72 hours, two (3) days after the time of booking. The reservation deposit is non-refundable after 72 hours. Cancellation with full refund (when payment has been made in full) of any booked rental dates and equipment can be made thirty (30) days in advance of the booked set-up date. The 50% booking deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation less then 30 days will be subject to an additional 20% cancellation charge of the total rental amount on top of the deposit.
Cancellations made less then 15 days before the set-up date will forfeit all rental charges.
Trailer deposits are non-refundable. In the event full payment has been made more than 30 days before the rental date. 50% of the total amount will be refunded in the event of a cancelation.
Rental Pick Up
Pick-up of camping kits and camping supplies is to take place after 3:00pm until 1/2 hour before store closing the day of booking. Picture Identification will be required, valid driver license or passport. You can arrange with Rent eh Tent staff if you are picking up before the booked date. Camping equipment must be returned no later than 11:00 am the following day of the rental agreement. Refer to "Late Return Policy" for more information. The 11:00 am return policy does not apply to trailer rentals.
Rental equipment returned past the return time out lined for each rental agreement will be charged a minimum of one days rental charge per hour past the return time indicated.
If any item of the rental equipment is returned in a state of disarray, damaged or dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning and repair costs. Shop rate will be charged ($125.00/hour, $45.00 minimum), plus any parts and materials for cleaning or repair. All costs will be deducted from the security deposit and or charged directly to the customer and the remainder of the security deposit refunded. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment is full suggested retail value and $45.00 administration charge. A $45.00 administration charge is applied to all extra charges. A $75.00 administration charge is in effect for trailer rentals. The renter is responsible for any repair or replacement costs on damage and/or neglect or mis-use no matter how it occurred, including but not limited to: wind, rain, hail, fire, theft, vandalism etc.
"Reimbursement" is offered for "out of pocket repair expense" to a maximum of $100.00 on trailer repairs. The reimbursement is only offered to cover repair costs to a trailer as a result of general wear and tear that may occur from time to time and not as a result of damage deemed the responsibility of the renter during the rental period as outlined in the rental agreement and Rent eh Tent Canada's policies. Repair defined as the total usability of the trailer and or safety to the renter and or the general public is at issue. Receipts must be provided for reimbursement. Any repair costs above $100.00 must be pre authorized by Mike Jorgensen of Rent eh Tent Canada and repairs carried out by a RVDA certified RV repair facility or equivalent.
A $1500.00 deductible is in effect on any Insurance claims. Insurance claims are for accidents only. The accident must be reported to the local police and a police report filed in order for a claim to be processed. The renter is responsible for any willful damage and/or neglect.
