Policies
Reservations/Bookings
Reservations can be made up to one week prior to camping equipment pick up time. All rental requests made in less than (7) seven days will be as a first come first serve basis. Changes to reservations can be made but require two weeks notice. Please make reservations through our online rental form and we will email a confirmation within 48 hours. Reservations can also be made by calling our toll free number (North America only) 1-877-478-TENT (8364) or our local numbers, both listed on our contact page. RET reserves the right to refuse rental services to anyone.
Reservation Deposits
A $50.00 Non refundable deposit will be required on all camping kit bookings and itemized camping equipment. Trailer booking deposits are $150.00, non refundable. This amount can be put towards final rental charges. On receipt of reservation and deposit, a confirmation notice will be sent to client. Reservation deposits can be made by VISA, MasterCard or cash.
Deposits
Camping kits will require a security deposit contract to be signed. Individual item rentals will require a minimum $100.00 deposit fee and or a deposit contract may be necessary. The entire deposit or part of it will be refunded when an inspection of all camping equipment rented has been carried out by a Rent eh Tent supervisor when rental equipment is returned. Refer to "Damage/Dirty/Lost Policy" for full deposit refund explanations. Deposits can be made with VISA, MasterCard or cash.
Payment
All rental charges must be paid for in full, 30 days before scheduled camping equipment pick-up time. Payment infull will be required at the time of booking on all rentals made with less than 30 days notice. All payments can be made to Rent eh Tent by calling our toll free line (North America only) 1-877-478-TENT (8368) or regular telephone number (780) 462-8364. Payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, or cash. All prices are subject to Goods and Service Tax. A delivery charge may apply.
Cancellations
Full refunds are given for cancellations that are made 48 hours, two (2) days, before a scheduled reservation. The reservation deposit, if required, is forfeited. Trailer deposits are non-refundable. Failure to cancel the booked camping equipment rental two (2) days prior to the scheduled reservation date will result in complete forfeiting of all pre-paid rental charges.
Rental Pick Up
Pick-up of camping kits and camping supplies is to take place after 3:00pm until 1/2 hour before store closing the day of booking. Picture Identification will be required, valid driver license or passport. You can arrange with Rent eh Tent staff if you are picking up before the booked date. Camping equipment must be returned no later than 11:00 am the following day of the rental agreement. Refer to "Late Return Policy" for more information. The 11:00 am return policy does not appy to trailer rentals.
Late Returns
Rental equipment returned past the return time out lined for each rental agreement will be charged a minimum of one days rental charge per hour past the return time indicated.
Damage/Dirty/Lost Policy
If any item of the rental equipment is returned in a state of disarray, damaged or dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning and repair costs. Shop rate will be charged ($75.00/hour, $45.00 minimum), plus any parts and materials for cleaning or repair. All costs will be deducted from the security deposit and the remainder of the security deposit refunded. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment is full suggested retail value and $45.00 administration charge. A $45.00 administration charge is applied to all extra charges.
Trailer Damage
"Reimbursement" is offered for "out of pocket repair expense" to a maximum of $100.00 on trailer repairs. The reimbursement is only offered to cover repair costs to a trailer as a result of general wear and tear that may occur from time to time and not as a result of damage deemed the responsibility of the renter during the rental period as outlined in the rental agreement and Rent eh Tent Canada's policies. Repair defined as the total usability of the trailer and or safety to the renter and or the general public is at issue. Receipts must be provided for reimbursement. Any repair costs above $100.00 must be pre authorized by Mike Jorgensen of Rent eh Tent Canada and repairs carried out by a RVDA certified RV repair facility or equivalent.
Insurance
Rent eh Tent Canada recommends that each client have their own insurance for personal and public liability during the use of Rent eh Tent equipment.
Trailer Insurance
A $1500.00 deductible is in effect on any Insurance claims. Insurance claims are for accidents only. The accident must be reported to the local police and a police report filed in order for a claim to be processed. The renter is responsible for any willful damage and/or neglect.
