RET Adventure Tours is offering all-inclusive camping and guided fishing trips to the Nordegg Alberta area. These trips are booked for private groups only in most cases. An area just one hour’s drive west of Rocky Mountain house and one and a half hour’s east of the Alberta B.C. boarder. You will be fishing on pristine mountain rivers and creeks set in the awe-inspiring scenery of the Canadian Rockies.
We will be after members of the elusive wild Trout and Char families. Browns, Brooks, Cutthroat, Bulls and Rocky Mountain white fish will be what we are on the hunt for. It should be understood this trip is a “high difficulty” experience category. Long durations of walking is involved over varying terrain. Trips may also involve lengthy drives to remote locations. Personal protection equipment from wild life will be provided. The daily duration of the fishing portion of the trip is typically 8-12 hours.
All transportation is provided.
We leave from Edmonton for a 3-hour drive to our wilderness camp. Join us from Edmonton or from Rocky Mountain House, 1 hour to the camp. Arrangements can be made from other locations also. You are also welcome to use your own transportation if you wish.
All fishing equipment is provided
For all of our trips, all fishing gear and equipment is provided, including high-end spin cast fishing reels and rods, hip waders, fishing vests, nets and all lures/bait. Fly reels and rods upon request. If you wish to use equipment of your own feel free. But, for you to enjoy the type of fishing we offer we may insist on our equipment.
All camping gear is provided.
We stay in wood heated outfitter tents for a true rustic camping experience. You will sleep in warm sleeping bags with pillows on large sized cots to keep you off the ground.
All meals are provided.
Hearty morning breakfasts. Brown bag lunches to enjoy for shore lunch. Hi energy snacks. A Bison steak dinner at the end of the first day and a filling supper before returning home. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided.
Our guides are expert anglers and will provide full instruction. What better place for a novice to learn how to fish in wild, free-flowing rivers and creeks, surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery. Expert anglers can gain too, as many well-kept secrets will be revealed.
The fish in these waters are wild and self-sustaining so we encourage and practice catch-and-release fishing.
